Our last gathering was such a success and there is so many people wanting to come and spend time with the pack that we are having another one.
We will meet at 3pm and, after a brief animal handling and safety talk, we will discuss and learn about the life, history and myth surrounding these wonderful creatures.
Then, as the sun begins to hide behind the desert mountains, we will head up the trail humans and wolves together. At the top of the trail we will share our snacks and water as we contemplate the desert view under the sunset dye.
After the hike we will get our jackets out as we prepare to enjoy a pot-luck meal. Please bring whatever you'd like to eat and share.
Since pre-historic times, man has been associated with the Wolf through a common bond. Revered and admired for its hunting skill, as well as its social structure and affectionate bonding, man’s early survival was due in large to their close association with the Wolf, both as protector and fellow hunter.
For the Native American Indians the Wolf was the possessor of magical powers. A spiritual animal that presented all of the best qualities that they hoped to reflect in their lives: nobility, love, care and protection of family, excellent hunting skill, and a keen sense of survival.
Therefore, the Wolf was for them a mentor and model that showed them how to conduct their lives, not only to survive, but to live with honor and dignity.
Come Join us and reconnect with this ancient bond and experience an evening of wildlife education and spiritual connection in the company of these magical creatures.
