THIS IS AN ONGOING VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM

On the first Saturday or every month (only) from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm we accept new volunteers that can commit to our ongoing service program

Once a month we offer a volunteer orientation for those that want to commit to our program on an ongoing basis (three times a month minimum). Please note that if you want to come only once or twice, or once in a while, our volunteering program is not for...... you and you can attend our open house events the last Saturday of every month.

Note: please know that, for administrative and safety reasons, we accept new volunteers ONLY ONCE A MONTH on the first Saturday of each month, no exceptions.

As a volunteer you will go though a mandatory training period of four weeks so you can learn all our working protocols and safety procedures. During this time you will interact with the animals only under the supervision of one of our handlers.
General responsibilities may include cleaning and feeding, play and socialization time, take the animals for walks, go hiking with them, hand out treat, containment building and repair, assist during community and school presentations, and help with outreach efforts.

With time and consistency you'll get to bond with the animals and have a first-hand experience of their deep connection with nature.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

This program meets the requirements for middle school, high school, or any court-orders service, as well as your personal need and desire to be or service and contribute.

Be advised that if you are doing community service all your hours will be sing off once you complete them. That means that if you need to do twenty hours (as in the case of middle and high school) you will be required to come five days within an eight-week period and all twenty hours will be sign out at the end.
