Event Description

This is a whole family friendly event and everyone is welcome ... just let us know how many in your party by Dec 9 since we are making burgers for everyone. So you just bring a salad, finger food to complement the burgers, or DESSERT!

PLEASE RSVP BY DEC 9th

Dear friends,
The Winter Solstice is approaching and we are gathering one last time this year to say THANK YOU for all the gifts, all the support, and the love we've received during 2010 as we prepare to welcome the new year 2011 with renewed dreams and joy.

And we will do that in the company of wolves and wolfdogs, creatures that have a deep connection with the Earth and can help us re-connect with deeper, ancient aspects of ourselves.

We will gather at mid day to enjoy a beautiful hike in the company of the pack. We will hike through mountain tops and stunning valleys to return back to the rescue center where we will share delicious hamburgers prepared by our staff. Please bring a salad or desert. As we enjoy a delicious meal together we will discuss wolf behavior, wolf legends, and the many ways in which this animals can help youth reconnect with who they are and find their way. You will be able to socialize with our pack members after the meal.
The gathering will end with a howling concert (depending on the artists' mood and availability :))

Since pre-historic times, man has been associated with the Wolf through a common bond. Revered and admired for its hunting skill, as well as its social structure and affectionate bonding, man’s early survival was due in large to their close association with the Wolf, both as protector and fellow hunter. For the Native American Indians the Wolf was the possessor of magical powers. A spiritual animal that presented all of the best qualities that they hoped to reflect in their lives: nobility, love, care and protection of family, excellent hunting skill, and a keen sense of survival. Therefore, the Wolf was for them a mentor and model that showed them how to conduct their lives, not only to survive, but to live with honor and dignity.

Come Join us and reconnect with this ancient bond and experience an evening of wildlife education and spiritual connection in the company of these magical creatures.

PLEASE BRING: long pants and hiking shoes. Water bottle or camelback, a warm jacket and an extra t-shirt

This event is donation based. We are a non-government, non-for-profit organization and we depend solely on your generosity of heart.

THESE PRESENTATIONS ARE ALSO OFFERED TO SCHOOLS, FOSTER CARE FACILITIES AND JUVENILE PRISONS ... YOU ATTENDANCE AND INPUT WILL HELP US INCREASE OUR EFFECTIVENESS. THANK YOU!

Wolf Connection is a non for profit organizations and the home of twenty four wolves and wolfdogs. Your generous contribution will help us care for the wolves the way they deserve, and let improve our upcoming new permanent sanctuary.

Seeing the wolves will be a wonderful birthday present (as my birthday is Dec 11). Can't wait to see everyone both 2 legged and 4 legged. Could you possibly throw on a veggie burger or two? Thanks!

I was really looking forward to going to this event, but I woke this morning to my lower back in so much pain it hurt to breathe! Very sad for me and my family especially since it is so beautiful outside today. We are looking forward to attending future events and meeting other people who love wolves as much as we do. I would love to bring Talon (10½) to an event cause she is getting a little fat but my oldest Shyanne (15) is a little old to hike that much anymore.

My wolfdog Parker and I would love to be able to attend the Dec.19 event .. but my wife is having major surgery on the 18th and I need to be here for her care and that of my pack of 10 woofers. Hopefully we will be able to attend the spring event or others. Looks like so much fun, and Parker and I would enjoy meeting all the others and having a great howl in!
The picture of Teo and his furkids is really beautiful! They look soo happy!
Howls ..!

Teo, I have heard it said that we start to look like the things that we love...look at how much you look like these beautiful beings? I cannot wait to be introduced to this realm of beauty. I so hope my teenage sons, who equal these beings in grace and elegance, can walk upon the earth with them at some time. I love that this is your passion and that, I am sure, this passion loves you back ten-fold! They remind me of all that is good and wild within us all and I love that they are smiling with you in this photo! Besos to you all...as you build the mission that needs to be spread to all. Peace. I will send a xmas gift ($$) to them asap!
