Event Description

Shaman Journey: The Spirit of Gaia

Led by Jane Hightower

8 CE Hours for Massage Therapists

A true gathering of the tribe! At this time in our planet’s history, we must take the caring for our Earth seriously. There are so many projects one can get involved in. Journey work can be a spiritual approach to blessing, strengthening, clearing, and honoring the Earth and what she does to sustain life for us, the four-legged ones, the winged ones, insects, and plants. Those of you who are part of the tribe for this work will know!

Shaman are spiritual beings with the ability to heal, work with energies and 'see' visions. The essential characteristics of shaman are mastery of energy and fire as a medium of transformation.

Shaman Journey: An adventure in spirit, connection with spirit allies, and the universality of all living things for those who have a yearning for spiritual connection in a classical sense with communication to alternative dimensions for specific purposes.

Shaman Journey aids an individual to expand his/her capabilities in alternative dimensions. Journeying is done lying down and “traveling” by a specific procedure to the beat of a drum to one of three worlds - the Lower World, the Middle World, and the Upper World - dimensions beyond reality - in order to retrieve and bring back information. Some believe this to be a type of meditation. We believe it to be actual travel to other dimensions. This Gathering includes learning to journey for another as well as for yourself.

Shaman Journey benefits everyone by providing insight into life decisions, enhancing well being, and helping retrieve lost power and energy. Once the procedure has been learned, it can be used at any time. The Gathering also features singing and drumming and communal sharing through a give away ceremony.

Jane Hightower, has presented Shaman Journey work for the past 15 years. Adopted into the Cheyenne Medicine Bear family, Jane enhances the Gathering with the Native American aspect, telling the White Buffalo Woman story and including a smokeless pipe ceremony. Jane authored the book Stone Empowerment: A Resource for Both the Beginner and the Adept and teaches stone healing classes. She is also a Certified Practitioner and Instructor of Healing Touch, one of 2 teachers of Dr. Donald Engelhardt’s Life Force Healing, and a Teaching Reiki Master. She is an elder of both The Women's Council and Healing Touch.

Cost: $150.00    ($130 Early-bird cost if paid by Oct. 6th)     Preregistration is required. Space is limited.
