Wolf Connection

I don't have all the facts yet, but I believe the wolf was taken off the endangered species and hunting season has just opened this month on them here in Montana.  Over 800.  Anyone know of a petition going around to stop this?  What can we do?  Please help.

I think they started last year, but nevertheless the hunt has begun. You probably read this in your local paper: http://www.thebigskyweekly.com/node/298

Check out Greenpeace. I haven't looked at any other sites yet, but will search around. They are "culling" about 30%. It would be great to relocate the wolves, but they would have to be moved as a pack, not individually and who would want them? Perhaps a selective breeding process would work? (Like a pregnancy pill for wolves) Again...time and money. The hunters, ranchers and politicians want a quick and cheap fix. The wolves have made a tremendous comeback, but to what end?
All hunts have been put on "hold" since Judge Molloy relisted the wolves.
Information about the hunts as well as wolf ecology etc can be found on this blog...http://howlingforjustice.wordpress.com/

Also please check out the facebook page for "Wolf Warriors". You'll find up to the minute info on wolves.
