Hello fellow wolf and wolf-dog lovers

I am have been involved with wolves and wolf dogs for over 10 years now and personally met several wolves and wolf-dogs. I have been told by various Medicine Men the wolf is my Spirit Guide, they see it in my appearance, my actions and in my spirit, I have a very special connection with all wolves I meet and with dogs to a slightly lessor extent. Wolves do not see me as a human male, instead they see me as a Male Alpha Wolf, a protector, they and I understand each other, care for each other and love each other in a very unique way, I am their protector and they know the instant we first meet. I am half Lipan Apache and half Viking, the wolf played a large part in both cultures and were respected by both, perhaps this is where my connection with them comes from.

I rescued two wolf-dogs of high content, my first, Lobo(I did not name him) was about 110 pounds and I got him at about age 5 or 6, his previous owner was not an animal person, had no clue about how to treat these creatures and was going to shoot him. I went over to the guy's house and took Lobo, got in touch with a wolf rescue person in Texas and rented a van and drove Lobo out non-stop all night to Las Cruces, NM from Ventura, CA., along the way we went through Apache Country, I am half Lipan Apache and some very strange things happened along the way, meaningful, spiritual things and signs. We met up with the guy from Texas, Lobo was attached to his truck between the rented van and the guy's truck while we went inside to eat. Lobo somehow ripped the lead and ran off. I went crazy, luckily I had taken pics(one is included on my profile), had them developed and made copies and went to all law agencies, animal control, vet offices and vet food supply stores in Las Cruces and posted the fliers. I spent the night in the rented van feeling very sad, the weather had incredible thunderstorms, for my benefit it seems since that is my favorite type of weather and it never rains like that in the desert around there. But it did not help my feelings of losing Lobo. Disheartened I drove back to LA the next morning, as I reached the out skirts of the city I got a call on my cell, Animal Control in Las Cruces had picked up Lobo before the T-storms hit the night before. I called the guy from Texas and he drove back out, but was told he could not get Lobo for 2 weeks. He would not go out again. So I rented an SUV 2 weeks later and went to pick up my Lobo, it was meant to be that he and I would form a pack. I should had realized that from all the strange, wonderful and spiritual things that happened on our trip, and the way he first met me when he sat in front of me and looked up as if I was his Alpha, the previous owner's son saw that and said "He has never done that before.". I moved out of my beach front apartment in Redondo Beach and moved into a small little house with a yard in a city I did not like just for my Boy, Lobo, and eventually had to buy a house to keep him. He got treats, we played ball, we walked and I gave him love and he returned it, anybody who knew us said he and I were extremely close and could easily tell we loved each other to the point no love could ever be stronger. He passed July 6, 2007 due to age, I had him for 6 years and still miss him deeply.

On January 1, 2007 I received my 2nd gift, her name was Kasha, a wonderful extremely intelligent and very friendly and loving girl. I do not know how old she was when Mike brought her to my house, but she had been through 3 households with the last not being too good. It did not dampen her spirit, she was a joy and love to everybody and very beautiful inside and out. She helped with Lobo being so old by that time and when he passed, I would not had made it without her help and love. She was a blessing to my life and always came back to me with kisses. She showed me how to express my emotions. Unfortuately her time with me was far too short, only 2.5 years, she passed from old age on July 13, 2009 at Noon. My heart still hurts. She was my Good Girl and a pleasure to spend time with and know. I miss her very much.

I am hoping I will be able to move to my family land in Texas fairly soon, have my house built with all green technology and then have a wolf refuge for many wolf and wolf-dog companions to stay and live with me, for us to share a pack. Perhaps I can retire at a somewhat early age to do this so I would still be able to run and play with them effectively without my body breaking down too soon. :)
