I somehow stumbled across your site while on Facebook tonight. Being an avid fan of both dogs and wolves, I'm always on the lookout for informative sites, books, articles. I've spent the last 90 minutes poring over this site and I think the work you all are doing is beautiful and important.
What would you want the community to know about you?
I was raised with dogs and have, except for a couple years in college, always had at least one canine companion. In fact, I even lived in my car for two weeks with three rather large dogs while waiting for a dog friendly rental to become available!
I think canines have lots to teach us about love, empathy, and how to coexist. One of my favorite books is Jeffrey Masson's "Dogs Never Lie About Love." Canines -- and I'm convinced this is true of wolves, too -- are all about LOVE!
What would you like to get out being part of the our Community?
All I can offer is moral support and the occasional small donation. If there is room for my input, idea wise, I'd be happy to share my thoughts as appropriate. Just knowing I could help in these small ways would be rewarding. And being able to vicariously share in the lives of these wonderful animals and the lives they change.
PS: I met my first and only wolf at the Wolf Education and Research Center near Winchester, Idaho, two summers ago. I was deeply moved by the peace and confidence the white arctic wolf brought to all those present!
