WOLF MOON TONIGHT - Biggest and Brightest Full Moon of 2010

Tonight's full moon will be the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. It offers anyone with clear skies an opportunity to identify easy-to-see features on the moon.

This being the first full moon of 2010, it is also known as the wolf moon, a moniker dating back to Native American culture and the notion that hungry wolves howled at the full moon on cold winter nights. Each month brings another full moon name.

Hello,



I met Teo at Villa Lobos on 1/23/10. I went to help with the dog walking, and found out about this site and the work that's being done to help the wolves.



All of our children have paws and tails.



We have 3 rescued dogs, and a Wolf/Husky Hybrid that's about 9 months old now.

Abeka the Shy Wolf

I got the shy wolf, Abeka out for the first time on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. That morning was cold, Drew and I were the first to arrive like usual. Drew went around to the outside of the wolf kennels to the scrap piles of fencing and old cages while I went up to greet the pups.

Reality

Today I learned the reality of what could happen if owners are irresponsible with their animals.



I have 2 hybrids and a Siberian husky that share my life with me (the sibe lives with me but I do not own her). I live on the coast and have an abundance of hiking trails behind my house and me and my dogs are out exploring and exercising on a daily basis.
