As you all may know, we are now in the flowering stage of our new ranch!! We have successfully moved all of our animals into their new and improved kennels! They all have shown great behavioral improvements from the change of location ALONE!! AMAZING! They all seem to love their new super-sized kennels, and couldn't be happier!

Our team is constantly keeping tabs on every detail of every part of our surroundings at the new property. We are are always making adjustments and improvements for the well-being and comfort of our animals, and youth volunteers. That being said, we have a new adjustment that we have all agreed is necessary for the improvement of our animals' living spaces. The current flooring of the kennel space is the natural high-dessert dirt that covers most of the surrounding area on the property. It tends to get messy with the different weathers and is sometimes difficult to get clean!!

We have determined that the best solution to our problem is simply lining all of our kennels in Decomposed Granite. It is an absorbent sand/gravel that helps prevent odor, and leftover residue after cleaning. It is comfortable for the animals to lay and walk around on as well.

If anyone has any information on where we can get DG donate in large quantities, or even some that we can buy at a discounted price, PLEASE let us know! As with all donations, we will provide a market value tax deduction.

Thank you so much for all of your support, and involvement in our program, we love you all!!

Loving Howls,

Chelsea Schaefer

Just got back.....www.ABSupply.com's Eddie Martin copied the request, took my # and said he'd have to "talk to the boss" so I will follow up tomorrow.  5 locations:  Sun Valley, Canoga Park, Oxnard, Santa Clarita and here in Palmdale where it's 107 so I'm glad the "woolfies" have shelter and water.  Pls share wth Teo and Giulia.  Thanks.

Hola Chelsea.  Do you still/always need DG?  I was going to go to some local builders to see about this, but the post is over a year old so I'm not sure.  Pura Vida!

Hey Anna!! How are you? You are very welcome, you MUST see all of the progress we have made since the last time you came out. I appreciate you spreading the word about DG, I'm not sure how much we will need exactly, but we have Eight 20x20 enclosures, and Two 20x50 enclosures to cover. I can find out specifics for Teo if necessary though.

Thanks again, it's so good to hear from you!

Hello, Chelsea.  I'm Dani's Mom.  Thank you so much for the update on the wolves and new digs.  I'll send the word out on the DG.  Do you have an idea of how much would be needed?  Wolves are so lucky to have you & the other pack members.
